London (Reuters) - superstar Lang Lang Chinese piano them wowed, Wagnerian soprano Susan Bullock got a laugh as a "British Brunnhilde", but the stars of the last night of the BBC Proms were permanent from the Royal Albert Hall.

The 700 or more "Prommers" who pay 5 pounds ($8) each standing room in the oval of 5,000 seats cavernous Hall, exhausted on Saturday night gave almost as good a show as they got from the soloists, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Edward Gardner and Symphony BBC 140 strong choir.

He shouted to the stagehands and musicians tuning up and they usually set the tone for an event in the important music calendar for some such as the festival of Wagner in Bayreuth or Vienna new year's concert.

It is not fair to the natives or Anglophiles.

Anne Bucht said that she had flown to London in the short term and at the expense of considerable, from his home in Malmö, Sweden, after his daughter Amelie, married an Englishman, called to say she had two tickets at the last minute.

"I waited 20 years ago," said Bucht, who usually monitors the concert in Swedish television to indulge in "the joy of everyone", and because Sweden has nothing similar.

Gardner, whose stormy podium was decorated with streamers of colored and white, large signs of "L" controllers student display on their cars, paid special tribute to the Prommers, some of whom queued for ever as 10 hours to buy a ticket which entitles to occur to a concert that lasted at least three hours more.

Although it is a brazen celebration of the British, at least one Irish, a Frenchman and an American flag joined the sea of waving Union Jacks.

The first half of the concert was dedicated to an international mix, including a new concert overture written by Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, "Miraculous Mandarin" suite of Bartok, Bullock singing Brunnhilde of Wagner "Gotterdammerung" immolation and scene, in recognition of 200 year of birth of the composer, Liszt Piano Concerto No. 1.

Soloist Lang Lang, whose latest album is called "Liszt – my Piano Hero," putting all of his impressive technique, as well as the spectacular body language which is famous, in a performance that Liszt, who practically invented the concept of showman, probably would have applauded.

But was Bullock, daughter of a policeman that transported home piano junked encouraged his daughter in a career in music, which tore down the House in the show-stop, and previously secret "British Brunnhilde" suit with a blue and -winged helmet, a huge Rosa Roja on a white shield and a spear which shot out a shower of confetti.
